Going to grad school but unsure how to pay for it?

Check out the new Graduate School Scholarship Search tool.

The tool, released this week by student loan company Sallie Mae, includes specific scholarships for veterans and military family members, as well as other scholarships for a variety of academic degree programs and sports. To use it, you’ll need to register on the site and answer a series of questions about your background and interests. Based on your answers, the site will show you scholarships that you may be eligible for.

The site has more than 850,000 scholarships listed, totaling more than $1 billion, according to a news release. Users are also automatically entered in a monthly sweepstakes competition for $1,000 scholarships, the news release said.

Rick Castellano, Sallie Mae vice president of corporate communications, called it a “one-stop shop.”

“Many students are simply unaware that there are scholarships out there specifically tailored to grad students or where to find them,” he said in an email. The search tool is “free, easy to use, and simplifies and automates that all important search for free money for grad school.”
